What Is Depth Incremental?

Depth Incremental (currently listed as [UPD3 👻] Depth Incremental on Roblox) is an incremental simulator developed by Core Loop, a verified Roblox group. The official description sums up the loop: “Every step takes you deeper into the pit, and every layer hides something new and dangerous.”

You buy steps to walk down into a giant pit. Along the way you discover upgrades, dig up Fossils, hunt rare Shinies, expand Upgrade Trees, defeat the boss guarding each layer, and eventually Rebirth to grow stronger and dive deeper. The developer states the game is heavily inspired by Zenith and Tower Incremental.

Your First Ten Minutes

  1. Buy your first stepsSpawn at the top of the pit and spend your starting Cash on steps. Each purchase extends the staircase downward. If you fall off, you simply return to where you slipped — nothing is lost.
  2. Open the Upgrades roomSave 250 Cash and buy through the Upgrades room door. This is where the tutorial formally ends.
  3. Buy Faster Cash (250)Your first upgrade inside should be Faster Cash for 250 Cash. Early Cash upgrades pay for everything that follows.
  4. Keep descendingAlternate between buying steps and buying upgrades. Steps get pricier with every layer you reach.
  5. Unlock DIRT FOSSILS at 2,000 CashOnce you hold 2,000 Cash, the DIRT FOSSILS room opens. Each dig costs 250 Cash and rolls for rarity against your Luck — see the Fossils Guide.

Beginner Progression Priorities

Cash first

Every step, dig, and door costs Cash. Faster Cash and More Cash early compound into every later purchase. Details in the Best Upgrades.

Luck before digging

Codes, Roblox Plus, and Titles all add Luck. Stack them before a digging session — each dig rolls against your total. See Shiny Hunting.

Bosses reward prep
