Quick Guide
- Every layer in Depth Incremental is guarded by a boss — confirmed by the official game description.
- The developer has not published a roster: no official boss names, health values, or drop tables yet.
- Universal strategy: get stronger first — income upgrades, Luck-stacked fossil digs, then the attempt.
- Bosses are progression gates, not skill checks: stalled fight means stalled upgrades.
What Is Confirmed About the Bosses
The official game description is direct: “Defeat the bosses guarding each layer!” That single line carries the three confirmed facts — bosses exist, each layer has one, and beating it is how the pit opens further.
What is not published: boss names, health pools, attack patterns, and reward tables. This page will not invent them. As the community documents each fight in-game, verified details get added here — until then, every strategy below is built on the systems that are confirmed: Upgrade Trees, Fossils Guide, and Rebirth Guide.
No fabricated rosters
Boss lists with names and HP on other sites are community guesses or placeholders. We publish only what is verified — an honest incomplete table beats an invented complete one.

Boss Fights in the Bigger Loop
Bosses sit at the seam between All Layers: win, and the next depth’s pricier steps, new trees, and new finds open up. Lose repeatedly, and the game is telling you the run’s income curve has fallen behind — the fix is always the same loop of upgrades and digs. For the full fight-by-fight approach, see How to Defeat Bosses.
Bosses FAQ
How many bosses are in Depth Incremental?
One per layer is confirmed by the official description. An exact count is not published — the roster fills in as the community verifies each fight.
Do bosses drop rewards?
Beating a boss unlocks the next layer. Specific reward tables are not officially documented yet; we add them as verified.
Why can't I beat the layer boss?
Upgrade gap. Bosses are stat gates — if the fight stalls, another round of income upgrades and Luck-stacked digs is the intended path forward.
